The Deed Is Done
September ’25
The needle slides through flesh,
cuts through tissue.
The skin screeches.
The needle pushes its way out—
no más, no más.
The skin pops,
and the ring goes in with the needle.
Captive ball in place,
the deed is done.
Tiramisu to celebrate,
under a loose shirt:
two magnificent signifiers,
a new addiction to fight.
